Your hosts

Your hosts Sadie, Joachim and resident mini schnauzer Juno, look forward to welcoming you to our home and premier guest house located in the heart of the Old Bastide in Carcassonne.

Having both worked in London nearly all our professional lives, we decided to make the move to France in autumn 2018. We searched high and low for the ‘right’ property and area considering location, weather, town, amenities, transport and ‘friendliness’.

We decided to concentrate our search on the Languedoc/Occitanie region as it had the shortest winters, least amount of rainfall, and was striking distance to both the sea and the mountains.

Carcassonne was chosen as we found it to be one of the liveliest and friendliest cities, and had something happening every day of the year.

We both enjoy meeting people, hosting and entertaining, so it was a natural decision to run a guest house. We hope that you will enjoy your stay with us and we look forward to welcoming you to our home.
